Slot Attendant

Slot Attendants assist guests with any issues or questions regarding slot games and machines. They ensure machines comply with regulations and help maintain smooth casino operations, ensuring guest satisfaction

Commis

Commis (Cooks) assist in preparing ingredients by washing, peeling, and cutting. They must adhere to high standards of kitchen cleanliness and sanitation, follow food safety protocols, maintain proper temperatures for various ingredients, and safely use knives and cutting utensils.

Electrician

The Electrician maintains and repairs the ship’s electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and communication systems. They ensure compliance with all relevant electrical safety regulations and standards.

Nurse

The nurse on a cruise ship provides care to guests and crew. They must have a nursing degree and 3-4 years of experience in emergency, trauma, or intensive care from a large hospital.

Fitter A/C

The Fitter A/C installs, maintains, and repairs the ship’s air conditioning and refrigeration systems. They collaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure optimal functioning of climate control systems, ensuring passenger comfort.

2nd Engineer

The 2nd Engineer is responsible for maintaining and repairing the ship’s electrical systems. They work closely with the Chief Engineer and 3rd Electrical Engineer to ensure the electrical systems are functioning properly.

Guest Services Officer (GSO) | Associate (GSA)

The Guest Services Officer (GSO) is responsible for offering assistance and information to passengers. They facilitate the booking of excursions, manage dining reservations, and provide recommendations for activities and attractions at each port of call.

Concierge

The Concierge team excels in customer service, providing information, recommendations, and VIP assistance to guests. They facilitate reservations for special shows, shore excursions, dining venues, movies, and attractions both onboard and at ports of call. Additionally, they assist with debarkation needs including transfers, airline bookings, and hotel reservations.

Photographers

The Photographers should have at least 12 months of experience in portrait photography, proficiency in photo editing software like Photoshop, and exceptional customer service skills. They capture guests’ vacation memories through professional photography, including restaurants, gangways, scenic backdrops, and elegant evenings onboard and off the ship. They collaborate with guests to create personalized photo sessions and achieve sales targets by offering photo packages and accessories.

Youth Staff

The Youth Staff organizes engaging activities for children aged 0-11, including games, crafts, sports, and music. They also attend to basic care needs such as diaper changes and feeding. Ensuring hygiene and safety in play areas is paramount, and they work collaboratively to uphold USPH and other regulatory standards.

Cabin Stewards

Cabin Stewards are tasked with maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in guests’ cabins, adhering to high USPH standards and ensuring adequate supplies are stocked. This position is gratuity-based, where exceptional customer service can significantly enhance earnings through tips and gratuities.

Executive Chef

As the culinary leader, the Executive Chef oversees menu planning, ingredient inventory management, and ensures the production of high-quality food served to passengers and crew with impeccable taste and presentation, meeting international culinary standards. Previous experience in 5-star hotels or onboard ships is essential.

Deck Cadet

A Deck Cadet is a trainee acquiring essential skills to become a deck officer. They operate under the guidance of senior officers, assisting in navigation and other deck responsibilities, and gaining knowledge of ship operations procedures and protocols.

Sport Staff

Sport Staff ensures the safety of passengers while they swim in the ship’s pools, hot tubs, or private island beaches. They are trained in water safety, CPR, and equipped with rescue gear to respond effectively to emergencies.

Light Technician

The Light Technician oversees onboard entertainment lighting, including live performances and musicals. They also maintain and clean all lights, both fixed and moving, and provide support to the onboard technicians as required.

Security Guards

Security Guards aboard a cruise ship oversee the safety and security of guests and crew members. Their duties include patrolling the ship, monitoring security cameras, responding to emergencies, and managing security incidents. They prioritize prevention and provide courteous service, while also demonstrating assertiveness when necessary. Applicants with backgrounds in investigation, law enforcement, military service, or hotel security may be well-suited for this role.

Shore Excursions Associates

Shore Excursions Associates are a dedicated team onboard who assist guests with planning and booking their shore excursions and other land-based activities during their cruise. While many guests now prefer to book their excursions online before boarding via their in-cabin TV system or mobile app, some still appreciate personal assistance and have questions before making a decision.

They provide details about local attractions, excursion packages, and ensure guests have a safe and enjoyable experience ashore. Responsibilities include ticketing, refunds, charges, ensuring guest safety and counts, coordinating with onshore operators, and ensuring timely return to the ship before departure.

Doctor

The Doctor on a cruise ship is responsible for providing medical care to passengers and crew members. They diagnose and treat various medical conditions and injuries, prescribe medications, and refer for further treatment if necessary. Shipboard Doctors must have a verified medical degree and at least 4 years of experience in emergency, trauma care, or intensive care at large hospitals. They must also hold BLS, ATLS, PALS, and ITLS certificates from an AHA-accredited facility. All medical staff report to the Shipboard Doctor.
